Do you have a way with words? You want to show off to the rest of the world that you have a way with words? We'd love to give you one of our nifty word guru banners, but there's a catch. You've got to complete the challenge.
What is the challenge? That's for you to decide. You can choose you theme goal. Will you do 10? 25? 100? 1000? Will your themes be songs? Places? a combination of a little bit of everything?

STEP ONE: Join and friend the community. STEP TWO: Make your claim by commenting here. STEP THREE: Choose your challenge. You can look at our premade table choices (work in progress, there will be more coming and we'll announce when they get here), or you can make your own, and we'll provide you with the coding if you make your request known to us by commenting with the information here. STEP FOUR: AFTER and only after you have your challenge set, you can make your first post! STEP FIVE: Get your tag, by commenting here. STEP SIX: When you're all done with your challenge, comment here and we'll add you to our pretty and shiny wall of fame.
This is kind of a tricky question. Yes and no. Yes in that it would be great if you could post at least once a month, but no in that if you can't make your post once a month I'm not going to kill you if you have circumstances that are getting in your way. Ideally, I'd like to know if you haven't quit or forgotten about the challenge, so if you could leave a note, that would great.
What can I write about exactly?
You can do fanfic or original characters, general series fiction or claim a pairing or even a character. Crossovers are welcome too! And AU's! Really, whatever tickles your fancy. The only thing it has to be is fiction, unless I get a lot of pleas to do non-fiction, but I'm somehow doubting that I will. There aren't any limitations on content either, but for the love of everything good, if it's graphic please say so. A warning would be nice for those of us who do not care to read about...whatever it is you're writing that could be potentially offensive.
Do I have to focus only on my pairing/character that I claim?
They need to be involved in all of your prompts somehow. If it's other characters talking about them, or one half of the pairing discussing the other half, that is acceptable.
Can I mix fandoms?
Sure. Why not? Makes things different. You can even make an original character and place them into a fandom! Which is something that not a lot of places will do.
Can I do the same claim as someone else?
My initial answer to this is yes, because everyone is going to write something different, however if too many people are picking the EXACT same thing (same pairing, same fandom, etc.) I may start putting limits on it. I don't want to have to do that.
What ratings are allowed?
See the above question about what you can write about.
What is the minimum word count?
Whatever you feel you need to do to flesh out the scene or whatever it is you're writing, but I'm going to sound like one of my college professors when I say this: You should be able to do that in more than 100 words.
When do I post?
Post them up as you've completed them, or you can put them in groupings, but please do not group more than five fics together in one post because that can clog the friends page.
Are fake cuts okay?
Fake cuts are beautiful.
How many tables can I do at once?
If you're doing a 1000 theme table, you can do a 10 theme table along with that. Basically, what I'm saying is I don't want you to overwhelm yourself. Let's start with two, and if you want to petition for a third, you can do so.
Can I cross post to other communities what I write here?
If you want to, but that kind of defeats the purpose of doing a challenge doesn't it?
Do we have to post them in order?
Post them in whatever order you want to.
Do I have to use the prompt exactly how it is?
You can use it however it inspires you, but let's not be way out of the ball park. I'll be checking when you complete them, so I'll know if you're writing a prompt about cheese and there's nothing in there that has anything to do with cheese literally, or metaphorically.
Can I use more than one prompt in one fic? No, that's like cheating.
